Midlands Co-op new superstore in Oakham re-opened on 29th October 2009. In this fabulous new store are many new energy efficient products and systems to help the store be more friendly to its surrounding environment and its customers, amongst which in their café area they have a counter which uses QE Global’s LED strips. As you will see there are 3 strips per case. With each case producing a very strong light whilst only using 42 watts of power maximum per case. These are ideal for chilled cabinets as they produce less than 12 degrees C of heat. Midlands Co-op is very happy with the result and said customer feedback had been positive.

We were approached by Jason Shilliday of Shillidays refrigeration and air conditioning in Northern Ireland, to help them out with a set of very dull Frozen door refrigeration units in a clients supermarket. They were using 5ft standard fluorescent Tubes, (as you will see in the before picture) which was producing very poor light. Shillidays client asked them to find an energy efficient solution to this problem and provide a greater amount of light. We were able to help Shillidays by offering them our Flexible LED strips in a very bright cool white 6000k. They promptly fitted them to the cabinet and the result was more than their client was expecting (see the after picture). In this cabinet they fitted one strip per door at only 22 watts each. So as you can see we are not only creating a lot more light but also reducing the power down by 62% per door plus the removal of the ballasts to help reduce the power down further. For further information on these lights please see our product section or contact us on info@qeglobal.com or via the contact us page.
